Download speeds depend heavily on the "health" of the torrent swarm. Ensure your file has enough Seeders. You can also check Settings to ensure you haven't set a speed limit.
πŸ“Ά Can I download on WiFi only?
Yes! Go to Settings and enable the "WiFi Only" toggle. This will automatically pause downloads when you switch to mobile data to save your plan.
πŸ“‚ Where are files saved?
By default, files go to your device's Download/Plasm folder. You can customize this location in the app settings (Android 10+ restrictions may apply).
πŸ›‘οΈ Is my activity tracked?
No. Plasm operates entirely locally. We do not track your downloads or browsing history. Please note that your IP address is visible to other peers in the torrent swarm, which is how the technology works.
⏸️ Why does the app run in the background?
Downloading large files takes time. Plasm uses a "Foreground Service" (indicated by a notification) to ensure Android doesn't kill the download process while you use other apps.
