01 How do I improve download speeds?
Download speeds depend heavily on the health of the torrent swarm. Ensure your file has enough seeders. You can also check Settings to confirm no speed limit has been applied.
02 Can I download on Wi-Fi only?
Yes. Go to Settings and enable the “Wi-Fi Only” toggle. Downloads will automatically pause when you switch to mobile data to protect your plan.
03 Where are downloaded files saved?
By default, files are saved to your device’s Download/Plasm folder. You can customize this location in app settings (Android 10+ storage restrictions may apply).
04 Is my activity tracked?
No. Plasm operates entirely on-device. No download history or browsing activity is collected or transmitted. Note that your IP address is visible to other peers in the torrent swarm — this is inherent to the protocol, not specific to Plasm.
05 Why does the app keep running in the background?
Downloading large files takes time. Plasm uses a Foreground Service — visible as a persistent notification — to prevent Android from terminating the download process while you use other apps.
