Plasm Torrent Client – EU Privacy Notice

This EU Privacy Notice supplements the general Plasm Privacy Policy. It explains how Plasm complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other European data-protection laws for users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

Data Controller

The Plasm Android application and this website are operated by the Plasm developer ("we"/"us"). For GDPR purposes we act as the data controller for any personal data processed through the app. To contact us, please use the support form linked in the Google Play listing or the in-app help section. Direct email support is not provided.

What Data We Process

Depending on how you use Plasm, we rely on the following lawful bases under Article 6 GDPR:

Sharing & International Transfers

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties outside of the services listed above. Google AdMob may transfer data to countries outside the EEA as part of its ad-delivery infrastructure. Google implements Standard Contractual Clauses and other safeguards as described in its Privacy Policy.

Retention

All torrent information and settings are stored locally until you delete them, revoke storage permissions, or uninstall the app. We do not maintain server-side backups. Advertising networks retain data according to their own retention schedules.

Your GDPR Rights

You have the following rights under GDPR:

Access

Review all data visible inside the app and the files saved to your selected storage location.

Rectification

Update settings or reconfigure download locations within the app at any time.

Erasure

Remove torrents, clear app data via Android settings, or uninstall the app to delete all locally stored information.

Restriction & Objection

Disable ads through your Google advertising settings, or restrict background data in Android.

Portability

Export completed downloads directly from your device. Torrent metadata files remain accessible to you.

Withdraw Consent

Adjust consent preferences in the Google consent dialog or in device settings (Ads & privacy).

To exercise any of these rights beyond the self-service options, contact us via the Google Play support form or the in-app help screen. We may ask for additional information to verify your request.

Children

Plasm is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly process data of users under 16 without parental consent. If you believe a minor has provided data through the app, please contact us via the support channels noted above.

Updates

We may update this EU Privacy Notice to reflect legal requirements or product changes. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised notice.
